Bach to Rock Alum, Claudia B., Wows Judges on NBC’s The Voice, and Joins Team Legend

Claudia Swope (who performs as Claudia B.) is shining brightly on NBC’s The Voice, and she’s also an alum of Bach to Rock McLean! Bach to Rock is so proud of Claudia B and congratulates her on her success! The 24th season of The Voice just kicked off and Claudia B.’s blind audition (watch below) of Michael Jackson’s Human Nature quickly turned the chairs of Reba McEntire, John Legend and Niall Horan. Her distinctive and captivating vocal style, blending elements of blues, jazz, and soul, is both exquisite and unparalleled, and instantly grabbed the judges’ attention! We are spotlighting Claudia B to help drum up support for her as she continues on her journey on The Voice.
Claudia attended Bach to Rock McLean for four years, and also became an instructor, before moving on to attend the Berklee School of Music. Claudia shares, “I don’t think I would be the same musician I am today if it weren’t for my time learning from the people at Bach to Rock. From walking into the music school for my first band rehearsal, to now, performing on The Voice stage, I’ve grown in so many ways, but I still carry a lot of the life lessons that I learned during my time there with me now, and am so grateful for them. Specifically, I’d like to shout out to my voice teacher, Holly Montgomery, who inspires me to this day, Matt Cummings, my band coach and mentor, and Nayan Bhula, who hired me as a student for my first teaching job!”
She has wonderful memories of her time at Bach to Rock. “I remember walking into Bach to Rock as a shy pre-teen girl who loved music and singing, but I had little knowledge of how it worked in the real world. Not only did I meet instructors who were instrumental to my foundation of industry knowledge (because they were part of the local industry themselves), I also left with countless experiences arranging songs, playing live shows with my bands, and time spent in the studio, crafting and recording my first EP.” And today she is a full-time musician based in Nashville and has made the big-time on The Voice!
