Bach to Rock Music School Announces Grand Opening of New School in Minnetonka, MN
September 9 Grand Opening Will Feature Country Music Artist Chris Hawkey along with Tours, Free Lessons, and Performances on the Bach to Rock Stage
Bach to Rock, America’s music school for students of all ages, proudly announces it is opening a new school in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The community is invited to the free grand opening on Saturday, September 9, from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at 4783 County Road 101, Minnetonka, MN, 55345. Special guest Chris Hawkey, country music artist and host of the Power Trip Morning Show on KFAN, will be attending from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. with the team from KFAN. Hawkey is a member of several Minneapolis bands, including Rocket Club, the Fabulous Armadillos and the Chris Hawkey Band. He also produces the radio broadcast of the Minnesota Vikings. A highlight of the grand opening will be the free raffle to win an autographed Chris Hawkey guitar. Additionally, there will be free demonstrations of two early childhood classes: “Rock City“ at 1:00 p.m., followed by “Kids N Keys” at 2:00 p.m. Attendees can participate in tours and information sessions, check out the recording studio, and enjoy instructor and student performances on the main stage. The school will serve students from (but not limited to) Minnetonka, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Edina, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, Chanhassen, Shorewood, Wayzata, Victoria, Mound, and Orono.

The Minnetonka location joins the Shoulaks’ existing Bach to Rock schools in Plymouth and Coon Rapids, which opened in 2018 and 2022 respectively. “We are filled with such joy and pride to be opening our third school. It’s incredible to think that we’ve provided lessons to over 3,000 students since we opened our first school. It has been heartwarming to see how music plays a key role in the lives of so many…filling voids, building confidence, and helping provide pleasure and happiness,” said Judy Shoulak. Bach to Rock Minnetonka offers programs for students of all ages including: individual and group lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drums and more; “Rock City” for preschoolers and “Rock and Roll” for toddlers; beginning piano “Kids n Keys” for children in grades K-2; and summer camps and birthday parties. Plus, students can get involved in a glee club or rock band. The school features Bach to Rock’s Beat Refinery® DJ lessons, which teach students how to master the turntables through practical and artistic training.
