Bach to Rock Music School Announces New Series of Franchisee Profiles
Introducing Bach to Rock Music School, Rocklin, CA: Where one Couple’s Last Wishes and a Another’s Passion Keep the Music Alive.
Bach to Rock, America’s music school for students of all ages, today announced it is presenting a new series of franchisee profiles highlighting the hardworking owners backstage at Bach to Rock music schools across the country. Bach to Rock is taking a closer look at owners’ origin stories to offer insight into the many paths to entrepreneurship and honor the personal commitment of Bach to Rock franchisees. The first profile features Melissa (Mel) Solano-Rojas and her husband, David James, who transformed their deep passion for music and their faithfulness to a late couple’s dream into a thriving Bach to Rock franchise in Rocklin, California.
“The profiles provide an opportunity to spotlight the outstanding work and commitment of Bach to Rock franchisees and share how and why they became franchisees. It is just one way to honor their dedication to their students, families and communities at large. The story of Mel and David and the school’s previous owners, Dr. Albert Kahane and his wife Millie, is one of our most endearing and we felt it was important to share it,” said Brian Gross, President of Bach to Rock.
In 2016, David James started working as a director at the newly opened Bach to Rock music school in Rocklin, California. Little did he know that just a few years later, he and his wife, Mel, would be the school’s owners. The original owners, Dr. Albert Kahane, and his wife Millie, opened the school as an entrepreneurial endeavor in retirement after each had had successful medical careers. Unfortunately, both of them passed away within three years of each other. In an act of faith, confidence and generosity, the Kahanes indicated one of their last requests was for the school to remain in Mel and David’s capable hands. Today, Mel and David are living out a heartwarming legacy, fulfilling the Kahanes’ final wishes by enriching the lives of young musicians in the Sacramento suburb of Rocklin.
