At Bach to Rock, we’ve assembled an amazing team of music teachers! Our instructors include classically trained musicians, as well as working professionals who tour and record with major artists. Meet our owners, our behind-the-scenes talent, and our music teachers for piano, guitar, drums, voice, and more!

Diana Tangco

Diana Tangco - Diana is the Assistant Director as well as a music teacher at Bach to Rock Cedar Park. Originally from DC, Diana has 17 years of musical experience. Her parents noticed her love of music at an early age and encouraged her to cultivate her passion. She first learned guitar from her father, then joined her elementary school’s orchestra and chorus. From there she began performing in musicals and taking lessons in piano and ukulele. She attended the American University of Paris in France for a time, then Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, where she performed both in and out of her schools. She fell in love with teaching when she joined Bach to Rock at the Herndon and Fairfax locations. She lives for the connections music can foster between people and aspires to help students develop their own musical passion. Diana teaches vocals, piano, and early childhood programs at Bach to Rock.

Joshua Morin

Joshua Morin - Joshua is the Assistant Director as well as a music teacher on the B2R Cedar Park staff. Austin born, Joshua has been performing music for 20+ years. A flute primary, Joshua is educated in a variety of instruments, including: Guitar, Bass, Keys, and Voice. He has been performing live in the Austin music scene for 10 years, and has developed an ability for coordinating with other musicians and performing on stage. With a strong foundation for music theory, Joshua can communicate and explore musical ideas confidently. Joshua currently performs with “Painted Panic”, a New Wave group that plays regularly in downtown Austin and neighboring cities.

McKinley H

McKinley H - McKinley H. has been playing music for over 20 years and has been teaching music lessons for 7+ years. He spent most of his time as a kid learning music by ear or creating songs. When in college, he learned music theory, sharpened his listening skills, and earned his degree in music composition. McKinley teaches piano, guitar, bass, drums, music production, recording arts and alto saxophone at Bach to Rock. He makes it a point to always challenge his students to think bigger and to believe that they can achieve whatever musical goal they have.

Zachary S

Zachary S - Zach S. has 25 years of experience playing drums and various other instruments. Zach attended school at Full Sail Recording Arts. He has been playing downtown Austin since he was 16, at several longstanding local venue and was once features on Austin’s music channel. Zach has performed as a percussionist in Downtown Disney with “The Sound Factory”. Zach has written, composed, and recorded 50+ songs and has a strength for connecting with kids and getting them inspired and eager to learn and play live. Zach teaches Drums, Guitar, Ukulele and Recording Arts at Bach to Rock.

Jesus M

Jesus M - Jesus, having graduated from Leander High School, has been a part of several percussion ensembles and has been in several bands outside of an education setting. He is also well versed in Bass Guitar and Guitar and can play anywhere from funk to metal music. He has had 9+ years playing and studying music. He is a current member of the ACC Percussion Studio. He has also educated the Leander High School drumline.

John H

John H - John is a music teacher and performer from Dallas, now based in Austin. He began playing music at an early age, starting with the chromatic harmonica. John has performed with the Dallas Harmonica Trio alongside his father and grandfather, playing shows for large audiences, and has opened for notable musicians such as Charlie McCoy and the Sgro Brothers. At age 11 he began playing guitar and later played in several bands over the years, including rock, reggae, blues, and jazz bands. In his early twenties, John began playing blues and jazz piano. John believes that playing music is a natural ability that everyone has and can nurture into a life-long talent with the proper guidance and motivation. John teaches guitar, piano, sax, harmonica and similar instruments at Bach to Rock.

Michael Z

Michael Z - Michael is a professional musician with over 16 years of musical experience. His main expertise is in drums, but he has been playing multiple instruments over his career, including bass, and piano. He has lived around Austin, TX for most of his life and he truly love the music scene it has to offer. He has performed with a variety of different artists with very different styles and he is currently performing with “Blue Water Highway” while pursuing a solo project as well. His goal as an instructor is to teach students how to practically perform in any scenario they are thrown in, during their music career. He is known for having great dynamic control on the drum set and for delivering captivating performances with great stage presence.

Tyler L

Tyler L - Tyler L. is a native Austinite who has been playing drums and creating electronic music for over 15 years. Tyler grew up in north Austin and attended Vandegrift High School where he was a member of the marching band and a two-time TMEA Region Orchestra finalist. Tyler received his Bachelor's degree from Berklee College of Music where he studied digital audio, sound design, and percussion performance. During his time at Berklee Tyler performed in a wide array of musical groups, including playing drums for The Plenty Collective's Puppet Theatre troupe as well as manning a Speak ’N Spell as part of a harsh noise trio. Tyler loves all things having to do with sound and sound production. He also has a soft spot for old folk singers.

Lessons

Bach to Rock offers music lessons for all ages and skill levels. Our private lessons include piano, guitar, drums, voice, and a wide range of other instruments. We also offer beginner classes and ensemble programs like Band and Glee Club. Anyone can learn to play music with Bach to Rock — even if you've never played an instrument before!

Camps

Our camps are a perfect choice for students who love music! We offer full-day and half-day summer camps, spring camps, and winter camps for kids, plus camps on school holidays. Our camps are great for students who want to start learning music and see what it's like to perform!

Parties

Birthday parties at Bach to Rock give kids a chance to be rock stars for a day! With themes like Karaoke Birthday and Rock Birthday, partygoers get to perform and record songs by their favorite artists. We also offer birthday party packages for younger children and corporate teams!
