Available for ages 7+, our rock birthday parties give kids the chance to get on stage and into the spotlight — even if they’ve never played an instrument before. This one-of-a-kind party experience will give your child a truly unforgettable birthday!

Rock Birthday Party

Rock Birthday Party packages are perfect for kids who love music and performance!

Our rock band birthday parties allow kids to practice, perform, and record as part of a Bach to Rock band. Kids get to play real instruments, record in a professional studio, and perform a hit song from our party songlist!

During the party, each child will get an instrument to play, such as guitar, bass, or drums. We’ll provide these instruments if kids don’t have their own. We also encourage kids to bring their own instruments if they already play one!

Once each child has an instrument, our music director will teach them how to play the song. Our party songlist includes beginner-friendly arrangements, so that kids with no prior experience can learn how to play! Kids then get the chance to practice their skills in a jam session.

After the jam session, the Birthday Band gets to record in a real music studio with a professional audio engineer. Every member of the Birthday Band can download a copy of this performance following the party! (Recording studio space and equipment varies by location. Check with your local Bach to Rock for additional info.)

Each rock band birthday party is scheduled for two hours. This party package includes access to a Bach to Rock party room for refreshments and opening presents, as well as a special Party Pack for each guest!

Before the Rock Birthday Party, you and your child will choose which song the Birthday Band will perform from the Bach to Rock party songlist.

Our songlist for rock band birthday parties includes hits by Twenty One Pilots, AC/DC, Imagine Dragons, Beastie Boys, Green Day, Paramore, The Chainsmokers, and 100+ songs by other artists!

All of the songs on this list have backing tracks and beginner-friendly arrangements available. This way, kids can play songs by their favorite artists, even if they have no experience playing an instrument!

Have a question about music lessons at Bach to Rock®? Below, we’ve collected some of the most frequently asked questions about our programs, including which types of lessons we offer, how much our programs cost, and how to get started!

Bach to Rock offers a wide range of music programs, including lessons for all ages and skill levels!

Our private lessons include programs for piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, and voice, as well as brass, string, and woodwind instruments.

We also offer group classes — including beginner classes like Piano 101, Guitar 101, and Voice 101 — plus ensemble programs like Band and Glee Club.

Pricing for Bach to Rock music lessons depends on the type and duration of lesson. You can find up-to-date pricing and schedules for all of our programs through our online sign up system. Pricing may vary by location.

All Bach to Rock students must have access to their own instruments for at-home practice.

Bach to Rock is more than happy to advise parents and students on instrument purchases. We can recommend local stores that sell high-quality instruments for a reasonable price.

We also have wholesale contracts with instrument manufacturers and suppliers. This allows us to provide instruments at a discount to parents and students who purchase them from us.

A list of recommended instruments and accessories is available for all parents and students.

While students must have their own instruments for at-home practice, Bach to Rock will generally provide students with instruments for in-school lessons.

Drums, guitars, keyboards, and support equipment (such as amplifiers) will always be supplied by the school. This way, students don’t have to transport bulky equipment to and from lessons.

As students advance, they may feel more comfortable using their own instruments for lessons at Bach to Rock. Students are encouraged to bring their own instruments to school for lessons when possible.

Note that we do not provide wind or orchestral instruments such as clarinets, flutes, saxophones, or violins.

It's never too early to get kids started with music! At Bach to Rock, we encourage parents to start music classes early in childhood, so that kids can enjoy the developmental benefits of music education.

Our programs include Rock n Roll (ages 1-3), Rock City® (ages 3-5), Kids n Keys (ages 5-7), and Fun with Music (ages 6-7). Our early childhood classes help prepare students for private music lessons as they grow older.

We recommend starting private lessons at age 7. This is the age when most students are able to read sheet music — an important skill for private lessons.
