Featured Student – Finley C

Finley has been a drum student at Bach To Rock Sandy Plains since August 2020.  During her time at the school, she has advanced very far into the Bach To Rock drum curriculum and became a founding member of the band Gold Flaming Fire as their drummer.  Finley celebrated her most recent birthday at Bach To Rock Sandy Plains with a Rock Band Party where she and her friends joined a band together, learned new instruments, recorded a song, and performed on stage all in 2 hours!  Finley is not the only member of her family to be learning drums with us at Bach To Rock Sandy Plains.  Her dad has been taking private drum lessons right along with her, and the two have been loving the experience of growing together as musicians!  Finley says that her favorite part about playing drums at Bach To Rock Sandy Plains is how much fun she has in both her private lessons and in her band rehearsals.

Finley’s drum instructor, William, says “Finley has come a long way and learned so much from her time with Bach To Rock Sandy Plains.  She accepts challenges which has let her grow as a drummer, and has even started creating her own drum parts.  Seeing her growing skill in drumming has been very rewarding.  Keep up the great work, Finley!”
