March Student of the Month – Grayson B

What is your name and what instrument do you play? My name is Grayson B. and I take piano lessons at Bach to Rock.

What inspired you to play music? I love music and I want to learn how to play the keytar so my parents thought piano would give a strong music foundation.

What is your favorite style of music? My favorite type of music is Caribbean music – I love soca and reggae.

Who is your favorite artist and why? My favorite artist is Kendrick Lamar. I like him because he just performed at the Super Bowl.

What is your favorite song to play? Sailing in the Sun is my favorite song to play right now.

What are you learning right now in your lessons? I am learning how to play Young Hunter. I am also learning how to play triads.

What are you most looking forward to learning/performing? I look forward to learning how to perform on stage.

What’s your favorite thing about Bach to Rock? My favorite thing about Bach to Rock is that all of the teachers are very kind.

What is your favorite thing about your teacher? My favorite thing about Mr. Jason is that he can recognize when I need a little help with my music even before I ask.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing music? I love playing video games and playing soccer!
