Student of the Month – Arete A

Our Student of the Month (July 2022) is Arete A, who takes Piano lessons at Bach to Rock Sandy Plains. Read the Q&As below to find out more about him!

Q: What inspired you to play music?

A: I’ve always loved music, my Godfather’s grand piano was my first inspiration to learn how to play.

Q: What is your favorite style of music?

A: My favorite style of music is Jazz!

Q: Who is your favorite artist and why?

A: John Coltrane! I love his spiritual music.

Q: What is your favorite song to play?

A: I don’t play this music yet but I love listening to it: A Love Supreme album by John Coltrane

Q: What are you learning right now in your lessons?

A: Understanding rhythm

Q: What are you most looking forward to learning/performing?

A: I’m looking forward to playing a full song.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Bach to Rock?

A: Nice place, like my teacher!

Q: What is your favorite thing about your teacher?

A: He is very encouraging, and makes the lessons fun.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing music?

A: Playing soccer and doing karate
