Student of the Month – Ethan B

Our Student of the Month (October, 2021) is Ethan, who takes Rock Band lessons at Bach to Rock Sandy Plains. Read the Q&As below to find out more about him!

Q: What inspired you to play music?

A: I wanted to play the drums because it seemed like a good skill for school if I join the band.

Q: What is your favorite style of music?

A:  I like classic rock the best.

Q:  Who is your favorite artist and why?

A: I have two favorite artists: Michael Jackson and The Beatles. I like them because they have good songs.

Q: What is your favorite song to play?

A: I haven't really learned that many songs yet so I don't have a favorite one to play.

Q: What are you learning right now in your lessons?

A: I am learning how to play two songs right now.

Q: What are you most looking forward to learning/performing?

A: I am looking forward to learning how to play more difficult songs.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Bach to Rock?

A: My favorite thing about Bach to Rock is that my teacher is kind and I can go at my pace.

Q: What is your favorite thing about your teacher?

A: I like how Mr. Jim likes the same songs I like.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing music?

A: When I'm not playing music I like to play with my friends and play soccer.

Mr. Jim has been Ethan’s drum teacher since July of this year, and has shared his thoughts on teaching Ethan:
