Student of the Month – Katelyn D

Our Student of the Month (August 2022) is Katelyn, who takes Voice lessons at Bach to Rock Sandy Plains. Read the Q&As below to find out more about her!

Q: What inspired you to play music?

A: I was inspired to sing because I like to sing along to music. It makes me happy.

Q: What is your favorite style of music?

A: Pop and Country

Q: Who is your favorite artist and why?

A: Carrie Underwood is my favorite artist. Her songs have great stories

Q: What is your favorite song to play?

A: “Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay

Q: What are you learning right now in your lessons?

A: Tempo, breathing, and reading music.

Q: What are you most looking forward to learning/performing?

A: Performing 2 songs at the upcoming Bach to Rock Summer Recital.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Bach to Rock?

A: Having the chance to be in a band and perform on stage.

Q: What is your favorite thing about your teacher?

A: She’s really kind and she’s a great singer.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing music?

A: Swim team and playing with my friends.
