B2R McLean Students Awarded Berklee Summer Program Scholarships

We’re happy to announce that three Bach to Rock McLean students, Eliza S, Jenna C, and Claudia S have all been awarded scholarships to Berklee College of Music’s 5 week Summer Program!

Eliza has been taking lessons at our McLean location for the last several years – studying songwriting, cello, voice, bass, and electric guitar. Jenna and Eliza are both members of one of our longer standing bands, The Diamond Dolls, with Eliza on bass and vocals, and Jenna on keyboard, guitar, and vocals. Claudia has also been taking private lessons in voice and songwriting for the past few years, and is the lead singer and keyboardist for the B2R McLean band, Out of Line, who were featured in January on WTOP radio.

To be considered for this opportunity, each girl had to submit an audition recording as well as live performance videos. Eliza’s live performance videos were recorded at our recent Bachapalooza event, held in January 2015 at Jammin’ Java in Vienna.
