Beat Refinery Student DJs Spin Tunes at the 2024 White House Easter Egg Roll
DJ Meme Ghost and DJ Princess C from Bach to Rock Bethesda Share their Talents at the 144th Annual White House Easter Egg Roll held on April 1, 2024.
A time-honored tradition since the 1870, the White House Easter Egg roll features thousands of children pushing brightly colored, hard-boiled eggs across the White House South Lawn with wooden spoons. The festive day, always held the Monday after Easter, this year was themed “EGGucation,” and featured a transformation of the South Lawn and Ellipse into a school community, complete with educational activities for kids of all ages.
Bach to Rock Beat Refinery students DJ Meme Ghost (Simon McCormick) and DJ Princess C (Christiona Graham) were specially invited by the White House to perform for this year’s event; a great honor for both students, where they DJed for approximately 40,000 visitors, including military and veteran families, caregivers and survivors, per the White House. And this year’s event was not their first White House Easter Egg roll! Congratulations to both of our outstanding students for being chosen for this honor and for rocking the White House with their talents!
