Beginner Ukulele Lessons in Wayne, PA
Ukulele 101 is a beginner-friendly class for first-time ukulele players! These beginner ukulele lessons make learning to play the ukulele easy and fun for students of all ages. Over 10 weekly lessons, students learn the basics of this fun and personality-filled instrument! Class duration is 45 minutes.
At Bach to Rock®, all of our 101 classes are taught by experienced musicians. Our small class sizes give students plenty of one-on-one instruction. At the same time, students can learn the basics of playing the ukulele while having fun with their peers.
Our beginner ukulele lessons are open to ages 7+, with the option of in-person or online learning. We welcome students who are learning to play for the first time, as well as experienced ukulele players who want to expand their skill set!
After Ukulele 101, students can graduate to private ukulele lessons at Bach to Rock. This way, ukulele students can learn the basics in our beginner lessons, then build on these skills through private instruction!
Ukulele Lessons for Beginners
In Ukulele 101, anyone can learn to play the ukulele. Building up from basic concepts and techniques, we offer an easy, step-by-step approach for beginner students.
Early lessons teach new students how to hold and tune their instrument. Students learn how to strum and control tone through fretwork, plus how to play basic chords. Advanced students can skip ahead to different strum techniques and backbeat grooves, depending on their skill level.
As students progress, they get to learn popular songs. By the end of our beginner ukulele lessons, each student will know at least two songs, and will get a chance to perform on stage. Our classes also include lessons on musical theory and note reading, giving students a strong musical foundation.
Our group classes make learning to play the ukulele more fun for students. By learning with peers of the same age and skill level, students can have fun, support one another, and gain confidence!
