The applicant:
- Must demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts to students.
- Must be able to read music
- Some positions may require work on weekends
Teaching certificate, music degree(s), and/or extensive music experience preferred; those who are currently enrolled in a music degree program and/or with work experience in the field of music will also be considered.
Bach to Rock is the Music School for students of all ages. B2R’s unique method is based on the knowledge that students learn best when they join together to play the music they like the most. That’s why we use special arrangements of the music of our time and combine individual lessons with band or group instruction. Weekly lessons lead to recording sessions in our own professional, on-site recording facilities and regularly scheduled public concerts and recitals that encourage students to become seasoned performers. These creative group activities foster teamwork, build self-esteem and motivate students to perfect their musicianship through independent practice.
B2R offers a competitive hourly rate that is based on education and experience, a flexible schedule, and a very fun work environment with other like-minded musicians. We handle the marketing, scheduling, booking, billing and other business aspects of the lessons/group classes so that you can focus on teaching.
